I have a L2201 and would to sell it. After anyone looks at it, they call the Kubota dealership for info. They always scare the hell out of my perspective buyer! The I.R.S. will sieze their bank accounts, the tractor is guaranteed to EXPLODE under them and they will probably catch the plague just by sitting on it! The truth is its a good little tractor (under 700 hrs.). What to do?

I know that dealers would prefer to sell their own tractors, but where I live, most of the dealers will give you an honest opinion about buying someone else's tractor. But with that said, I have two suggestions for your consideration. 1) find a local Kubota dealer who is willing to sell your tractor for you on consignment. They will be sure to talk favorably about your tractor if they are going to get a piece of the pie if it sells. Tell them what you must have for it, and they can keep whatever amount they sell it for over-and-above.2) call a local dealer yourself and describe the tractor, then see what they say about it (since they don't know that you are the seller) -- if you find a dealer who is honest about what he recommends, then recommend to any of your prospective buyers that they call that dealer if they need additional info about your tractor.Just a couple of thoughts. Good Luck! ....

I was doing a little research for you and it looks like the L2201 has the same engine as the American market Kubota L235. Both have a 68 cubic inch 3 cylinder engine. You may want to use this as a selling point. I sell grey market tractors and I specialize in what I call crossover tractors. That is tractors that have an American counterpart. There are a few Kubotas that are like that. Kubota USA will not admit it though. The L1500 & 1501 were identical to the American Kubota 175 & 185. I think the 2201 and 235 are probably the same also. I hope this helps you out. ....
